Join the Club – Kick Start

Project Kick Start is designed to recycle gently used soccer clothing, gear and equipment. When items are donated, our volunteers will clean, sorted, and reorganize into teams for both locally and abroad. Ten of thousands of soccer items have already been passed on from Chance to Play to aspiring players in Canada and impoverished communities overseas. Cleats, shin guards, matching sets of jerseys, and soccer balls are the most requested items, but all soccer clothing, gear and equipment are appreciated. Equipment and uniforms collected are used to support inner city youth teams, camps, and after school programs. Young soccer players in Nunavut and north communities in Canada as well as Haiti, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Uganda and other countries in Africa have benefited from past donations.

Our biggest supporters are the soccer clubs, players and families across Canada. Partnering with soccer clubs has helped C2P to distribute soccer gear around the world and in our local neighborhoods.

How Clubs Get Involved

For many clubs, cleaning out the club house and lockers of unused soccer jerseys, shorts etc that are no longer needed. Perhaps due to branding, colours, logos, misprints, or an overstock. Please contact us to arrange drop off or pick up within Ontario. Donation outside of Ontario has been shipped through DHL.

Rep teams and players can organize a collection and fundraiser with their local club during the Opening or Closing of the Summer House League season. Through email and website communications from the club, as well as local newspaper story and social media, word will spread quickly for a successful event.

Soccer coaches and parents have organized events in their workplace, community, and/or children’s school.
